Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) is committed to assisting people with disabilities reach their employment goals by providing a wide range of employment services that make achieving the American dream a real possibility.

If you are an individual with a disability seeking employment, GSIL can provide the following employment and independent living services to help you reach your goal:
Employment Services – Vocational Rehabilitation:
By working with both Granite State Independent Living's Employment Services staff and the N.H. Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, you will identify your employment goals, develop the skills necessary for finding a job, conduct a job search and make a smooth transition into the workforce. Ticket to Work:
Is a voluntary programimplemented by the Social Security Administration (SSA) in which all SSDI and SSI beneficiaries between the ages of 17 and 64 are provided a Ticket to Work. The ticket gives the holder the ability to choose an approved agency, called an Employment Network, to assist them with finding and keeping employment. Granite State Independent Living is an approved Employment Network and can provide you with information about how it works and what we offer so you can make an informed decision about whether to use your ticket. Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA):
When you need help navigating the maze of benefit programs available, contact GSIL Community Work Incentives Coordinators (CWIC) for help. We are highly trained with the most up to date information and provide valuable assistance in understanding and planning for the impact earned wages may have on your benefits. Medicaid for Employed Adults with Disabilities Program (MEAD):
If you are disabled and employed, you may be eligible for the Medicaid for Employed Adults with Disabilities (MEAD) program. MEAD is a Medicaid coverage group that allows adults with disabilities to work to their fullest potential, save money and still qualify for Medicaid. Contact a Granite State Independent Living CWIC at 800-826-3700 to help you determine if you are eligible for this program, or visit the MEAD tab on this website for more details.
Employment and Community Support Program:
Individuals with developmental disabilities who are currently working with an area agency may be eligible for support in finding and maintaining employment, participating in volunteer opportunities, and accessing their communities through GSIL’s Employment Services. You must be referred to GSIL by the area agency to ensure that funding is available for services. We are currently working with the following area agencies:
