Senior Services Offered by GSIL

In-Home Supports provide non-medical hands-on assistance with activities of daily living for Seniors. A personal care worker helps individuals to bathe, dress, eat, and navigate a range of other daily tasks. In essence, the personal care worker does tasks for the individual that they are unable to do for themselves independently because of disability due to disease, trauma, or the natural progression of aging.

Personal care services can be delivered in either a private home, residential care setting, or in some cases an individual’s place of employment. In addition to providing assistance with activities of daily living, personal care workers can assist with housekeeping chores, meal preparation, and medication management. In some cases, personal care workers can also help individuals to go to work and remain engaged in their communities.
