Support Independence
Granite State Independent Living is unlike any other organization in New Hampshire its mission and vision can truly change the lives of thousands and improve the quality of life for all. We are honored to include individuals, organizations and companies throughout New Hampshire on its roster of Individual and Corporate Members. We invite you to become a member of our award-winning organization as well.
The board and staff of Granite State Independent Living know that disability is a natural part of life and according to the U.S. Census Bureau over one in five adults have a disability, one in nine children and one in two older adults over 65. That is why our vision impacts everyone and is so important to the future of New Hampshire. A vision that includes equal opportunity for all residents, a society that judges all its citizens by the content of their character and not by a characteristic of their being, and a culture that fosters the best in its humanity so that everyone may live their lives to the fullest and be the most that they choose to be. Your investment in our organization will not only support others but there is a real possibility that you or someone you know will need the support we offer. We are here today working to make sure that the future is full of opportunity for generations to come.
Granite State Independent Living has received several awards of distinction; in 2007 we were named Business New Hampshire Magazine's Non-Profit of the Year. In October 2006, we were named one of ten finalists in the Peter F. Drucker Awards for Non-Profit Innovation. But our work does not stop there, we will continue to strive for excellence and bring high quality supports and services to those who need our assistance to be independent, have choices and be in control of their own destiny.
Member Benefits
Individual Members receive a subscription to the Granite Slate, our quarterly newletter; a vote at our Annual Meeting; and frequent updates about the results their investment is supporting independent living in New Hampshire. Corporate Members receive the same benefits and may also participate in our Co-Branding Program, which affirms their commitment to independent living and provides an excellent statewide brand awareness vehicle.
