Since a fall in 2011 left Chris paralyzed, she has worked hard to remain active and keep her spirits high. With a large support circle and a loving family, Chris feels immense gratitude for their unwavering encouragement.

Chris is passionate about sports, enjoying activities like water and snow skiing, as well as kayaking. She loves visiting the beaches and lakes in New Hampshire that offer floating wheelchairs, providing even more opportunities for adventure. In her downtime from all of these adventures (and from her job answering emails and phone calls!), Chris also enjoys playing the guitar, cooking, and watching movies.

A significant milestone for Chris came in 2018 when she received the keys to her very own accessible van. This van granted her the freedom to travel anywhere at any time, which Chris said gave her “a tremendous feeling of liberation that many take for granted.” In 2019, her dedicated family fundraised to also provide Chris with an iBOT wheelchair, a state-of-the-art piece of machinery capable of climbing stairs!

Chris’s journey demonstrates that with determination and support, one can overcome any obstacle and enjoy life’s adventures.
