Consumer Advisory Committee FAQ’s
The Consumer Advisory Committee is a consumer led group at Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) that was created to help guide and inform on the needs of consumers as it relates to GSIL services and consumer’s quality of life. The CAC is the official voice of consumers to the GSIL Board of Directors.
The history of independent living is comprised of many years of advocacy and efforts on the behalf of our consumers. The needs and thoughts of our consumers are critical to our mission of providing the best services possible to help our consumers remain as independent as they choose!
The Consumer Advisory Committee meets quarterly (June/Sept/Dec/March) on the 3rd Thursday of the month, from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. Attendance can be in person or virtual.
GSIL values consumer participation and consumer directed care. As a result, your input is vital in improving services and programs offered at GSIL. We are looking for consumers of any GSIL program who are passionate about helping others and affecting positive change to our programs. By attending the Consumer Advisory Committee, you will help to promote effective, efficient solutions that benefit a wide range of GSIL consumers.
